I Teach Ethnomusicology, Music Industry, and Popular Music Studies.

My student learn to think critically about music in our contemporary society and culture; to be critical about their own roles as musicians, professionals, and consumers; and to advocate for progressive social change through music and the work of cultural intermediation. I currently teach at Northeastern University. Previously, I have taught at DePaul University, the Friends of the Gamelan, Lehigh University, the Old Town School of Folk Music, and the University of Chicago. Please get in touch with me to request a syllabus or to inquire about my availability as a visiting instructor or guest lecturer.
